Kagiso Trust has asked ACT Ubumbano to lead the process of establishing a new, independent institution that will be a resource to South African civil society. Currently referred to as the Leverage Fund Institute (LFI), its objectives will include mobilising funds to be used for transformative grantmaking, learning support for organisations, and platforms to transform and strengthen the civil society ecosystem. Regular progress updates will feature in future newsletters for now.
To lead this pilot phase that will primarily involve systems design and testing, we are happy to introduce Yoko Papu and Mpho Raboeane.
