We are a network of Southern African and European organisations working for economic, gender and environmental justice. We do this by facilitating critical reflection on our social justice practice, listening to the voices of those who are most affected by injustice, and supporting innovative and collaborative solidarity initiatives that address unjust power relations globally.
ACT Ubumbano emerges from a process of change and exploration. We embarked on this journey with no pre-ordained outcome, but with a commitment to “to make the path by walking it together”. We use the space created by the Solidarity Hubs to reflect on the lived experience of communities bearing the brunt of social injustice and the organisations that support them, to analyse the structural causes of injustice and our limitations in challenging these, and to plan and implement collaborative action that seeks to transform society.
