The Diocese of Klerksdorp falls under the territory of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC). The ministry of Justice and Peace was officially launched in the Diocese in 1995, and exists to assist the church in responding to social challenges around human rights, labour practices, eviction, gender justice, and navigating the judicial system.  Justice and Peace assists in conflict situations by providing mediation skills, and does advocacy for better delivery of municipality services. A major current project includes supporting access to mobile clinic for farms tenants.
