Inaugural ACT Alliance Africa – Gender Justice Community of Practice

On 10th – 11th of October 2019, ACT Alliance in Africa convened its first Gender Justice Community of Practice (CoP) in Kampala, Uganda. The CoP brings together ACT members in Africa to share experiences, learn from each other, and contextualise and set priorities on issues of Gender Justice. This analysis and reflection will help shape joint strategic advocacy and campaigns locally and globally.

This inaugural meeting elected Gladys Nairuba, Programme Officer at DanChurchAid Uganda, and Zanele Makombe, Programme Advisor at  ACT Ubumbano, as co-chairs with the weighty task of facilitating sharing of lessons around gender and leading Africa’s contribution to the gender work of ACT Alliance.
