Call for Proposals: Democracy at Work Fund

The Democracy at Work Fund, stewarded by Funders Organized for Rights in the Global Economy (FORGE), has launched a new round of funding to support grassroots organizations across Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa, Argentina, and Brazil.

The fund prioritizes initiatives that build worker power, especially among informal workers, women, and underrepresented groups, with a focus on the intersections of workers’ rights, gender justice, racial justice, and climate justice.
– Eligible organizations can apply for grants of up to $80,000.
– Deadline: October 27, 2025 (5pm ET, US).

The first round of the fund backed 19 organizations across 11 countries, from supporting migrant content moderators in Kenya to protecting banana workers in Ecuador and amplifying trade union voices in Brazil’s climate discussions.
