Who We Are
Focus on Ability Society (FOAS) is a youth-led nonprofit organization in Malawi dedicated to education, inclusion, social justice, climate action, and humanitarian support. Founded in 2016 and registered in 2019, FOAS utilizes film, storytelling, and community initiatives to amplify voices and drive meaningful change. We empower youth, women, and marginalized groups, fostering solidarity and sustainable development.
Our mission is to break barriers, transform lives, and create a more just and inclusive society.

A special thank you to the Mérieux Foundation and Every Breath Counts for their generous support in funding the 2022 Pneumonia Football and Netball Bonanza—a vital community-driven initiative aimed at raising awareness about pneumonia through sports. Your support has enabled us to use football and netball as powerful tools for engaging communities, spreading life-saving information, and ensuring that pneumonia prevention and treatment messages reach as many people as possible. Through this initiative, we are making strides in combating one of the world’s leading infectious causes of death among children.
